In an attempt to spur the Space Force to cough up more people, the House and Senate Intelligence committees have mandated quarterly reports by the Director of National Intelligence on whether DoD is meeting its commitment to provide uniformed personnel to NRO.
"My hope is that we can create this structure... to get an early warning system," the Senate Intel Committee chair said. "Voluntary sharing is no longer effective."
The MQ-9B and Gambit Series represent parallel capabilities that address global challenges for security head-on.
DoD officials are extremely aware, almost to the point of paranoia, that even discussing the issue of NRO potentially being subsumed by the Space Force is playing with fire.
